Crystal Mountain: Gondola Ride

Fort Worden State Park, Port Townsend, Washington

 So my fiance and I took a road trip to Fort Worden State Park, in Port Townsend, Washington. I have been out that way before but never been to Port Townsend, so this was a treat! I am also a big history buff and so this was even more of an awesome trip outside of my home city of Federal Way. Once we arrived at the state park, the buildings looked similar to when I used to live on post. So that was to be expected. However, what I didn't expect was the time trip I would be having once we made the hike up Artillery Hill. Let me say I didn't feel like I was in Washington State. I've seen these kind of buildings only in movies as Hollywood would perceive the wars. I felt like I was in a movie. I couldn't even begin to fathom that there was buildings like these bunkers in Washington. I felt also like I was in Germany or some other country like the South Pacific during WWII. SO enjoy these photos as I will be taking another trip back soon to get more photos.
