SNOQUALMIE FALLS, SNOQUALMIE WASHINGTON

 Saturday April 29, 2017
Today my Fiancee and I decided to make a trip to Snoqualmie Falls here in Washington State. The drive was beautiful in itself and I wish I got some pictures of that scenery, but that could be for another time. We took Highway 18 all the way there and its about a 45 min drive from Auburn/Federal Way area.

After waiting 20 mins to find a parking spot, due to that it is a tourist attraction and the weather being nice we made our way down the trail. The roar of the falls told us that we were close.

My fiancee told me that it was starting to rain, and I'm like babe its the mist from the falls, its to be expected.

Even though there was a lot of people there, as well as trying to get the best shots for their memories I was finally able to get these amazing shots. I couldn't help feel at peace, doing something I truly enjoy.

If you have read my other blog, you know that I have suffered from active addiction. When I was using on a daily basis, photography wasn't important to me anymore.

HOWEVER, like waterfalls, we change. I am proud to say that I have been free from addiction for almost a year now. I will have 11 months on May 13th.

I also have this huge fear of heights and I was able to get through today so I am really proud of myself for staying to capture the beauty I was once so blind too a year ago.

Waterfalls are a powerful force, just like the human mind. You never know what a human can do. We all do amazing things. The problem is we are not in tune with the amazing talents we have.

My Fiancee I am so proud of him! He had a year on April 14, 2017!

My quote for life when things get tough is to change your perspective, pay attention and look around you.

Shalish Lodge right by the Falls.

I am so jealous of how easy this comes for him.

The love of my life right here folks. I told him I wanted to see the falls one day and well he brought me to them.

I love how he wants me to continue on with my dream and use my talents. Love his support and his way of saying okay BABE i will be a model for you.

This was near the end of our time here.

ALDER LAKE & ALDER DAM, WASHINGTON

ALDER LAKE & ALDER DAM

Again another spontaneous road trip around Washington state. I mean there are so many opportunities for pictures out here it is crazy. These were last week. I was having a rough day after a brunch I had. So my fiance came and picked me up and he surprised me with a little adventure. I've driven past this so many times and never pulled over to look at the scenery. Alder Lake has places for camping, picnics, and fishing with a boat launch. It is also on the way to Mount Rainier National Park

Road headed towards Alder Lake, at one of the viewpoints

Fresh Rain on the road. Gotta love Washington Spring Weather

Follow through to see the dam

Alder Dam, its amazing to see how high up the lake is and how much rock they needed to blast to make the dam

Another pic of Alder Dam

DOGWOOD PARK EATONVILLE, WASHINGTON

These were taken at Dogwood Park in Eatonville, Washington.

This place was the beginning of me trying to get clean. I always came here when I was sick as hell, and there is an energy about this place, that made me feel better. BUT this place has an amazing view of Mount Rainier. You get here by taking 161,(Meridian Rd) til you pass a gas station on your right, the park is on your left a little past the gas station. There is a gravel place to park your car. This is a viewpoint for pictures.
